my vod on my last pvt has a black screen and
i cant view it....how do i fix that?

In the last 2 or 3 weeks I've noticed a number of unwatchable VODs (black screens) appearing in the collection of daily VODs which VIP members can watch for free. I assume this means that the members who paid for those shows have not been able to see the VODs either. Hope this problem can be fixed quickly.

...Black screens have been happening for quite a while. I haven't noticed that they are becoming more prevelant. I don't think that C/S will be able to do anything for you, they never did for me.

Well, on my list of private shows, the first page show 4 (out of 25) paid-for privates without any video. None of the other pages (out of many such pages) shows any blank pages at all. That seems to me to be a noticeable increase in frequency.

I was referring to my PERSONAL list of private shows, not the daily list for VIPs. But I've also noticed an increase there.

I had 3 out 4 of my recent pvt vod on black screens and i have reported them to customer service and until now have not received any reply. Not happy!!!

Yep, last three shows are all black, no video. I contacted F4F after the first two and got no reply, so it probably isn't even worth trying after this third one.

I had same issue with a few of mine, I mailed Brad and gave the actual id# of each vod. turned out the data in them was somehow corrupted and they were forever lost to the giant Recycle Bin in the sky.

I have been waiting 6 days to view a pvt show from a model and still cannot. I am experiencing the same thing, a black screen and i have just sent my third message to customer support. They refused to answer me after my first message, then after the second, the responded to me within minutes saying that after the staff returns from Christmas vacation (Tuesday), they would take care of the problem. I am still waiting. I'm giving them until tomorrow before I cancel my membership with this site. I really don't want to after investing so much money with several people but, they are not being cooperative. Unless anyone else has any other suggestions on how to handle this matter, i would love to hear from you. Take care all.

We spent the better part of the day digging into the videos from some of you who posted in this thread. We were able to isolate the shows in question and verified that the files could not be played even though they *look* like a completely valid file on our servers.

After a bit of investigation these videos all seem to exhibit some strange "backwards timestamp" issue which is a known yet very undocumented issue associated with recording live streams. Basically, during the recording process, something goes haywire and frames get written to the file in the wrong order. This results in a file that seems to loop back on itself and winds up being unplayable.

While we can't come to this number exactly, it seems like roughly 3% of the shows recorded in 2011 exhibit this behavior. It seems limited to the non-HD streams though.

We are going to continue to investigate further to see if there's anything at all we can do to fix the recordings that exist and whether or not there are any changes in our control to eliminate the issue going forward.

As you might imagine, we did not write the video software so we are at the mercy of the Adobe gods in some respects to sort this out.

Apologies for those of you who have experienced an issue. We know your recorded shows are an important part of the experience and it sucks to not be able to relive a live experience. We will make every effort to eliminate this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you for that information and at least giving me, plus the other consumers a reasonable explanation about this issue. And, although I accept that there are issues beyond your control, the fact still remains; we are being ripped off after spending our money for a membership that is supposed to mallow us to view our pvt showings at any time, now we can't it seems. I honestly don't know how to trust that the software will screw up again and cheat me of another show I'm supposed to be able to view at my leisure. I believe your sincerity in trying to fix these issues but, i refuse to spend any more money if i do not know if I can trust the service to screw me out of another session. Until the problem is fixed, i am canceling my VIP membership and will not be spending any more money on pvt shows with anyone. I will leave my account open for a while until the problem is fixed. If I am no longer able to view that last show (which I thoroughly enjoyed) any longer, it is likely I will not return at all. Thank you for taking the time to read these posts and I do wish you luck in restoring these shows for us.
