Is there anyway that I can improve the video and audio on my side. Living in a country that does not have tremendous bandwidth, the video sometimes freezes for up to 30secs, even when in a show. A few years ago there used to be a refresh/reset video button which would often work. Quote

I may not have the instant answer to your problem, kantana, but my experience may help you find a solution.

When I first joined Flirt4Free the video performance was abysmal. The picture would freeze every few seconds. I was using IE8, and my ISP was AOL. I am in London UK, which is not exactly a communications backwater.

Needless to say, I contacted Customer Services. They suggested I try Mozilla Firefox instead of IE8. It wasn't any better. I also tried Google Chrome. Much the same. However, when I went back to using IE8 (with Firefox and Google Chrome still installed) there was a bit of an improvement.

I wondered if my problems might be due to my security software (MacAfee). I had a router which I suspected had its own security system. I went back to using an old ADSL broadband modem, and - very happy to say - I have had a virtually perfect service ever since. I am so thankful for that, as I am a huge, huge fan of the Flirt4Free site.

I hope this gives you some ideas. Your video problems may not simply be due to local bandwidth capacity in South Africa. There may be other parts of your setup which you could experiment with. Quote
