Correct, we're making some changes to the favorites system to make it easier to use across all areas of the site. On the favorites management page we're only showing the large image for the first 50 entries (sorted alphabetically) because using large photos for hundreds of favorites really hampers the performance of that page.

If you have other ideas on how to improve the usability of that page without just showing every photo we're all ears

Having a "show all pictures" link that brought in the rest of the pictures would help me and it wouldn't be used often enough to have the performance impact you're trying to fix. The other is the ability from both favorites and notifications pages to remove entries without the page being refreshed every time (which both takes a lot of time/resources and loses my place on the page).

The support for such a large number of favorites (and the notification system) is one of the features that distinguishes VS from competing sites, so please don't add restrictions to the number of favorites. Quote

I keep photos of models in a folder in My Pictures. It's easy enough to drag and drop a model's photo into a folder Quote

Yes not too happy about this change too.. I have to say. It would be maybe nice to add either a show all option for the pictures or make it so it shows 50 on a page only and then have more page numbers if more than 50 favorites are available OR another option is to add A-Z at top of the favorites and that way the user can Click "A" to show all "A" named models or any other letter for all other letters of the alphabet to show models starting with the letter picked.
