Hi,

I have had a problem several times now with the tip screen from Open Chat staying open after I tip. There is a button to "Close" the tip screen but, when pressed, it does not work. I had to refresh to stop the problem. Last night another member in the same room was having the same problem. Just an FYI. Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know. First that I've heard of this issue, but I'll let the Flash developers know so that they can keep an eye out for this.

@Cautious, by any chance did you try clicking anywhere outside the tip dialog to close it? If you did I'm assuming that was unresponsive as well?

Yes I did try clicking outside the area to get a response but it did not work. Thanks.

I've had the same problem, the only way I am able to fix it is to Refresh my Browser. It doesn't happen after every time I tip, but it happens often. I've tried clicking outside of the Tip Screen to close it, and it doesn't work as well.

This is not a new problem. Has happened to me at least several months ago and as recently as yesterday. Annoying as the box that will not close covers seeing confirmation of the tip in the chat box and any recent and future chat as it appears.

I sent "Submit help" months ago .

I never got a reply .

It sticks and stays open @ 10% of the time with 1 tip .

When multiple tipping - it always will freeze .

Only way is to refresh the room

i too had an issue that when i wanted to purple rain a model i couldn't. i had to leave room or refresh :helpme

We're pretty sure we solved this issue today while we added the 5 and 10 credit tip options. Please let us know if the problem persists.

"Purple rain" was nice to use 25 tips . Fill a scren with 250 then .
If no reply = it is fixed :drinkup

[ I will try 5 tip times 50 and see when or if it sticks then ]

It still freezes . I took screenshots .
Froze 1st time at 6 tips .
Froze the 2nd time at 14 tips .

Purple rain is not possible yet .

I did reclick the same tip over and over to see if it froze . It did 2 out of 2 times .
It is am improvement to get to send 14 without refreshing .

I hope it can be improved more .

Version 4.0.50 of the open room is live along with the fix to this problem.

In case any of you are unaware of how to locate the version number, just right click anywhere within the chat or video window and a menu will pop up along with the version number at the top of it.

If you aren't seeing this version, please be sure to clear your cache. Thanks for your help in locating this problem.

I have the correct version and cache cleared .
No matter what - it still will stick if you send enough tips .
It is improved and rarely sticks if you send 1 to 4 tips .
It ALWAYS sticks between sending 5 to 20 tips .

Until they can fix this issue, the work around to prevent it is..

After tipping, wait for the text in the tipping window to change and tell you that your tip was sent before you click anywhere else.

If you click close or click back into the chat window, the tip popup does away but then, when the tip finally goes through, the window will popup again (saying the tip went through) but you will not be able to dispatch this window.

...We flooded Kevin Alexander's room with tips, purple rain as you might call it on friday night and had only an occaisional problem. That was with over 2500 tips!! It seemed to be working quite well on that night.

I was able to send 200 tips in under 4 minutes .
I had to refresh only 15 times .
Speed is there . Hit by the "go" where your name is to refresh the fastest .

Before the improvements - it would have taken at least 20 minutes to 30 minutes :thumbsup

It rarely sticks before 4 tips . Better to hit it like a video game as many times as possible for speed . It often still shows tips being sent after you reenter the room .

Just try to press the tip button multiple times before "tip was sent successful" window comes up.
For me Tip Screen always sticks when I tip more than 3 times in this the short time between the 2 screens
