is f4f doing an update on the site ?

almost all of the rooms are stopping (or just wavy like instead of stopping) for awhile then goes back to normal, then do the same thing over,over again


btw yes i know some model rooms are not that good to start with .. but this is happening
in model rooms that this was not happen in a few weeks ago

i did a un/reinstall of both flash, java and both are up to date

i turned off hardware acceleration in both firefox, on flash player
( seems to work just a little)

i have dsl (test were 1.38 mbps download 0.31 upload

firefox is the one i use alot but some times use i.e (it acts up the same way on both)

im starting to think it maybe the computer the other hp i bought was massing up also
so i brought it back, got this one

I'm guessing you are using the wireless on that laptop, can you make sure to run the speed test on both the wireless and the ethernet cable (plug the laptop directly into the internet router via a ethernet cable and disable the wireless in windows when doing this) to rule out bad wireless connection. Also try flirt4free on the cable connection to see if it works. Could be your wireless router is not fast enought to send video data or there is some bad settings with the connection.


Also what graphics card are you using ? make and model number please or are you using the built in Radeon HD graphics in the CPU ? Have you checked for driver updates for the graphics card here ?

Another thing today firefox was updated to version 8, maybe worth trying that too.


Make sure to update the graphics drivers and any chipset drivers for that system.

Shout again with your 2 internet speed results (for wireless and via the ethernet cable) and how you are getting on, maybe can help you track down the problem, but I always start with the drivers for the hardware and making sure any connection settings are working to their correct speeds, also worth going into Hardware device manager in windows and making sure there are no errors there yellow "!" or "?" near any device.
