the portion of the scripts handling screen name changes has shown up today.

1. the screen name will, for no apparent reason, reset itself to the account name
2. spelling corrections, specifically changes to 'case' made to the same current screen name do not take effect after hitting either [enter] or the [go] button

This has happened to me recently and in the past.
I am under suspicion that models and studios are aware of your account name none the less, but i have no proof.
Careful when you end a pvt. Name reverts to default.
Keep an eye on your username at all times.

lol spar EVERYONE knows me no matter what screen name i use.. the editing of a custom screen name bug i had never seen before though... *shrug* yeah i know it used to happen but i thought they'd fixed it once..... Quote

Hi there. I've done some testing and I am unable to replicate your issue through 'standard' use of the chat rooms. However, I can tell you that your custom nicknames can have issues in any of the following cases:

- If some of your browser cookies are deleted while you are using the chat rooms.

- Using multiple chat windows and trying to use different chat nicknames for each room � this will not work and will set each browser window to use the last configured username upon refresh or room relocation.

If the above instances are not your case, then any specifics you can provide will help us to locate the issue.

craig.. thanks for the attention.. *trying to recall the specifics* no multiples in the same room, i saw how that no longer works a while back.. and i approve of that being eliminated.. stops the 'raning dive bombers' from watching the effect of their attacks.. hmmm and i have seen how the default account name is reset on exiting shows, and i hadn't been in a show, okay here's an example i tried using one of my favorite "temp" screen names

"Rescued_By_A_Girl_On_A_Dragon" but had entered "Rescued_By_A_GIrl_On_A_Dragon"

when i reenter the temp screen name to replace "_GIrl" with "Girl" the on screen tiny name field displayed it with the correction, but the chat_box showed the correction not made when i would send a text_line to the room.. i tried several times to correct that.. i was using mozilla, current version for windowz on a Win 7 system, also current version.

i made sure that the error was occuring by first hitting the [enter] key to update the screen_name field and secondly hitting the [go] button

hmmm i hadn't deleted cookies or flushed any of the stash of crap that windowz hangs onto during the occurance, and after i closed mozilla, and then restarted it, when i returned to the site, the screen_name field still had the incorrectly spelled name loaded in it...

iono where the glitch was.. hmmm... i'll try to make it happen again when someone i know comes online today.. won't run experiments on strangers lol

Okay.. replicated.. Firefox 7.0.1 go in a room select custom name key in name hit go type text and send

the name shows

click in the screen_name field to repair typo

edit making the repair

click go

type text.. send.. .the original name shows on the room chat box with the typo
the screen_name field shows it corrected
