i have througly checked my Java and flash, shockwave player, and there all ok. So i dont know what the problem is but if i go onto the site and have a look at some of the live modals before logging in to my membership account. All i get is a black screen. It works on some but the majority of the vidoes are just black.
Yet when i logg in, all the cameras come on ok and i see the person.
I really dont like this at all. Before i chat to a modal i will scan the site to see who i would like to talk too without loggin in. Now i cant do that. So it means having to logg in, the modals will think im crazy becasue my name will be there and gone before they have said hello. You may as well just put on the site, "please logg in to see live video". Otherwise there is no point in having the original concept anymore.

Workaround: - who knows your problem could not exist anymore - but to avoid the 'crazy person' persona, any registered account should be able to hold up to ten screen names that are reserved (no one else can use them) anda logged in user can also create unlimited session nicks. So you could possibly create a reserved screen name just for the purpose of anonymity, or just make one up on the fly, the latter is what i sometimes use to peruse anonymously. (trade secret: i log into a semi-pvt room to change from default to whatever nick, then once in disguise, peruse at will.) This way you can be logged in, avoid the black screen of death, and stay anonymous. The system won't let you be two names in the same room anymore, but it is still possible to be two names in different rooms.

I would try updating your graphics card drivers and update the browsers to the latest and use the latest flash player, if you still have the same problem right click on the f4f chat or video and select settings and disable hardware acceleration in the video settings there and logout and close all open browser windows and start again. Another thing you should make sure is the screen you have is running at the correct refresh rate and resolution (native settings for the screen) and make sure to set that up in Windows and the graphics drivers settings page.


Guys/Girls when you have a problem most of us here are not mind readers, so please do remember to add the specifications of your computer and this way someone here maybe able to help you because it makes it easier to spot the problems, things to list :-

CPU
Motherboard
Memory RAM
Graphics card Make and model number and driver verion you are using.
Windows version and is it 32bit or 64bit.
Internet speed you have and have tested the speed and the real speed you get
The browsers you have tried and their version numbers
Flash player version on the browser you have tried.
Sun Java version and have you made sure to update to the latest.
Etc and things that are special on your computer and if it is a ready built system from say DELL or SONY etc make and model number will help too.

Thanks, it was a flash issue, I updated to the new player. I have a mac and they do not automatically update flash like a pc does. I will have to remember that for the future.
