It is bad enough that some messages are marked "removed by administrator" for no reason in the forums.
I just noticed something far worse. There are entire THREADS being deleted from the forums, again for no good reason.
Here's an idea. Whenever an administrator decides to remove a message or entire thread, the poster of that message should be informed and told WHY it was done, so they won't do it again. On the other hand, if the post or thread was unjustifiably censored, then that administrator can go explain their actions to Brad Estes.
I now do a screen capture of every post I make and every post my friends make. When they vanish in the future, I will be sending them to Brad and he can deal with it.
I have one little example of why this situation is a problem. On a competing website that has a 24/7 format which has two "studios", they used one elderly man who would monitor their site for free. That man would be online watching the chat like a hawk. He even set up the chat where everytime certain words were used in the chat, an alarm would go off on his computer and he would take a look. This went on for at least 5 years. The man was extremely abusive. Anybody that said anything HE didn't like got banned - permanently. This man also didn't like new members and would ban them almost every time they showed up. He just liked to chat with his friends that he knew for years on the site. Anyway, this man pretty much destroyed that website because he would either ban or scare away all new members. That site runs on a monthly subscription basis, and their memberships dropped down to just a handful of people. I pointed this out to the owner of the site, and he finally fired the man - which was ironic because he was working for free! Unfortunately, by the time the man was fired, the site had to cut back from a HUGE house studio and a tiny house to just the tiny house. Also, the tiny house is in an out of the way location where they can't get any good models. That site is going down the drain this year.
The point is.. when someone is given the power to affect the operation of the site, they must be rational, fair, and attentive. When there are problems, they should try and fix them by means of warnings or information or explanations instead of terminating the customers. The customers are the BLOOD of any company.
I pay pretty close attention to the forums. In one instance, I saw one thread entirely removed from the forum, and then Brad reviewed it - and the thread RE-appeared! Apparently Brad doesn't have a policy of deleting threads, but others with the power to do so, DO delete them.
Whoever is deleting the threads, please delete this one also, because I am doing a screen capture of it and I want to show Brad the problem of threads and messages being censored for no justifiable reason.
