I have returned to the old platform because of an apparent snafu in the beta mode. The beta mode ignores instructions about displaying the badge next to the user name. I specify which screen names should be accompanied with the badge and which should not. Until a few days ago, the beta platform adhered to these instructions. Now it will not.

I am sorry, classic mode no longer exists on mobile, if you click the gear icon next to the send type in box and turn off full screen this is more like the classic set up as far as the video display. Hope that helps.

You can always try to request desktop mode in your mobile browser then you should have the option to leave Beta.
However if that switches you out of Beta on your actual mobile device if the older mobile version is no longer active is something you could test or contact customer service ofc.

Switching / changing username and badge works in every version of show name with badge that you have set or earned.
without any problems seems it works well. (as of now at least)
