As this is a site message, the site should be able to explain why you are receiving it
Customer Service suggested you try Firefox - you tried Firefox but you still got the error, so did you get back to them and tell them their idea didn't help and ask for more suggestions? Keep onto them - they have people who are paid to solve members' problems, and if all they could come up with was a suggestion you try Firefox that's not good enough in my opinion - they should know what causes this type of error
If all else fails contact them again on Monday morning and ask to speak to a Tech
