I honestly think, If we as members accept that the model is here to be respected and appreciated there would never be any confusion in the rooms. We make them focus on other things when were not showing them attention or just demanding them to do things without tipping them. There're human to, so just like us (members) when were bored we find something to do. So why not let them be themselves. Think about how they feel, put yourself in there shoes. I've sat in my favorite model room for hours, tipped him, talked to him, and took him private. To me he is the most nicest model here, not to mention the sexiest. He is real and down to earth, I can relate to him. I hate to see him get frustrated with his viewers when he feels they ignore him. Because he starts doing the things that I see you post here that you hate. I think we need to try to harder to make them not get so bored. IJS :offtopic

Although there are behaviors that may annoy us, I find it difficult to complain because the models do get paid for down time. If I get annoyed, I can simply move on to another model. Unless they are fortunate to get a private session, tip or gift, these guys get zero compensation for being 'on the job' despite putting in hours of their time.

Correction: Models do NOT get paid for down time while they are waiting and basically on-call sometimes for hours at a time.

I find it annoying when someone else from the studio or the house walks in on a private session and talks to the model. Like the last part of Lukas Tony's private show, VOD 16099829, someone walks into the chatroom and Lukas talks to him while he is naked and just ruins the whole mood.

As a newer model, I'm still carefully learning to navigate the preferences and what's niche vs popular. And I've TOTALLY. BEEN. THAT. GUY. Hardcore straight porn going relatively full blast. It definitely helps me, particularly while I'm still somewhat nervous and building confidence. I recognize most of my clients are gay men and are as interested in hearing that GENERALLY as most straight guys would like to hear a guy dirty talking about breeding another guy's ass, but I've also had folks tip and take me private based partly ON THAT. I assumed that meant I was attracting the right clients for who I am, since I list in my profile that I'm only heteroflexible, not even fully bi per se.

Only JUST NOW when I read your post did I remember that just because I've made some money BECAUSE of something doesn't mean I wouldn't make way more without it or by doing something else.

Those sort if free hints help a TON for a newbie like me... thanks to you and all the forum veterans for helping sheperd us into being the models you actually want to spend time with! That's invaluable!

That said... do you feel like it's more or less respectful (recognizing neither is ideal) to have the sound playing and put the phone down and pay attention to the client or to have the phone in hand so I can have an ear bud in so they don't have to see it? Or suppose I had headphones long enough... would that seem like I'm ignoring you if you went private with me and insisted you wanted to see me get off? Both seem not great to me but until I can just lose myself totally in what I'm doing, I just need the crutch. Thoughts???

I hate it when a Model REFUSES to greet a viewer or customer when they enter the chat. They just sit there, looking at the screen. Even though it is their chatroom, they refuse to acknowledge or greet the customer first.

Any performer on the site who does not at least make some attempt to say HELLO to any members entering the room generally won't last long. Having said that I think it is up the viewer to make the first move and say HELLO to get the ball rolling. :thumbsup

I tend to agree with Gofish on this, it is easier for the member to say hello and get things started. Many models I know have given up greeting first since it goes unanswered most of the time. If a model has a busy room or their studio makes them work multiple sites at once it would be difficult for the model to greet every single member who enters their room. We don't always know the situation the model is in, he just may not have a good command of English either. I am sure there are other situations or the model just doesn't care, in that case as Gofish says they won't last long.
