Most viewers are always willing to talk, but might need a bit of encouragement. If you use a mic say Hi to them when the enter the room (some may leave for what ever reason) or at best type a special hello message to them (not the automatic message that can be done through the site).
Yes, please, that is good practice! You wanna make your viewers feel special. Let's face it, most of us just are a bit lonely

and a personal greeting is a good way to get people engaged. Also I think "How's your day?" is a good ice breaker.
However, I would prefer, performers would NOT use whispering on a first meeting, what cannot be said openly on a first encounter? Makes me feel uneasy. I prefer whispering with models who I already feel I have some type of bonding with.
Someones gonna wanna talk! I get upset with models who after three phrases wanna drag you into private. I need longer to warm up

.
Cheers.
